Our infant staff is dedicated to providing each child with a loving and nurturing atmosphere pampering your baby with love and attention. Infancy is a period in a child's life when they are acquiring a basic sense of trust of themselves, of others and the world around them. The staff at Little Friends aims to foster this trust by providing responsive, consistent, quality care for your 6 week to 18 month old child. Our program is designed to provide children with the appropriate stimulation based on their developmental level.
The program for our younger infants focuses on stimulating the child's development through activities that enhance their awareness of their environment. We provide an environment rich withopportunities to actively explore and enjoy. The infants explore their surroundings with their senses and rapidly developing motor skills.
When the child is developmentally ready, we focus on helping him or her develop a sense of autonomy. This is done by increasing the opportunities for independence and recognizingthat each child develops at his or her own rate. During this time period, children will begin exploring skills such as self-feeding, drinking from a cup, walking trying new food, etc.
Little Friends ensures an individualized program for your child through low class ratios and small group sizing. The caregivers keep daily records on each child throughout the day recording each feeding, diapering, sleeping times, and any activities he or she may do. As the parent, we ask that you let us know the child's daily schedule so that we may offer continuity for your child by keeping their everyday routines the same. Infancy is such a precious time of growth and development and we will ensure a quality experience for your child by working in partenership with you. We welcome parents to tour our facility and meet the staff. Once you are enrolled, please don't hesitate to call or stop in during the day to visit.
